Privacy Policy

Steratrader Softwares Limited (“SteraTrader”, “we”) operates the SteraTrader trading platform: the mobile apps, the web terminal, and the servers behind them. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Who controls your data
SteraTrader is software. Your trading account is opened with, funded by and operated by your broker. Your broker decides what account information it holds about you and is the controller of that information; we process it on their behalf so that the platform can show your account and place your orders. Demo accounts opened inside the app are ours.
What we collect
Account access. When you sign in, your server, account number and password are stored in your device’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). They stay on your device. We do not receive or store your broker password on our servers.
Trading data. Your balance, positions, orders, deal history and the settings you choose in the app are held on our servers so the platform can function and so your broker can operate your account.
Journal. If you create a SteraTrader journal account, we store the first name, last name and email address you give us, and a hashed form of your password — never the password itself. We store the notes, tags and ratings you write about your own trades.
Demo accounts. A demo account created from the app collects no personal information. We generate a placeholder address that cannot receive mail. We record the IP address the request came from, for no longer than one hour, solely to limit how many demo accounts one network can create.
Technical data. Our servers log IP addresses, timestamps and request paths for security and troubleshooting, and record sign-in attempts so accounts can be protected against unauthorised access.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use advertising identifiers or third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use your trading data to trade against you.
Who we share it with
Your broker, for the account you hold with them. Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions and under contract. Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as a regulator, court or law enforcement acting under valid authority.
How long we keep it
Trading records are kept for as long as your broker is required to keep them under the rules that apply to them, which is typically several years after an account closes. Journal entries are kept until you delete them or delete your journal account. Demo accounts and their data are removed after a period of inactivity. Technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Deleting your data
You can delete your SteraTrader journal account, and everything in it, from Settings in the app, or by emailing support@steratrader.com from the address on the account. We will action it within 30 days.
Your trading account belongs to your broker. Ask them to close it; we cannot delete records your broker is required by law to retain.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Write to support@steratrader.com and we will respond.
Children
SteraTrader is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has used the platform, contact us and we will remove the account.
Security
Passwords we hold are hashed with Argon2id. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Credentials on your device are held in the platform’s secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected users and the relevant authority if a breach puts personal data at risk.
Changes
We will post any change on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be notified in the app.
